9:00-10:30：RNA Therapeutics to Address Unmet Medical Needs
Speaker：Dr. Cheng Lai 賴正榮博士（Former VP, Pharmacology, Moderna）
Cheng Lai, PhD, recently retired after twenty-plus years of drug discovery and disease mechanism research at Moderna, Dicerna, and Curis Pharmaceuticals. Cheng is a graduate of National Taiwan University (Zoology), and received his Ph.D. from the University of Washington and postdoctoral training at Harvard University. He has held leadership positions over numerous interdisciplinary teams and spearheaded advanced drug discovery programs in  cancer, neurodegenerative, genetic, metabolic, and inflammatory diseases. Throughout his career, he has gained extensive experience with small molecule, siRNA, and mRNA therapeutics, as well as a passion for novel target discovery and treating unmet medical needs.

Speaker：Dr. Heidi Wang 王慧君博士（Vice President, Oncology Head, Global Regulatory Sciences, Bristol-Myers Squibb Company）
Dr. Heidi Wang is an experienced global regulatory expert with over 29 years of Pharmaceutical Industry drug development and regulatory strategy experience. With deep expertise in Oncology, Virology, and other therapeutic areas, Heidi led and contributed to shaping the company strategy and identify, assess, and mitigate risks proactively. She has a proven track record in leading teams in the Bristol-Myers Squibb US headquarter and in multiple countries. Heidi has delivered submissions and approvals, many were first-in-class drugs, in the US, EU, China, Japan, and worldwide. Since December 2019, Dr. Heidi Wang, as the Oncology Head in Global Regulatory Sciences at BMS has led multi-functional teams to bring 13 new cancer treatment options to submissions and approvals, which may potentially change how physicians treat patients worldwide. Dr. Heidi Wang received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Molecular Biology and Virology from University of Notre Dame and conducted postdoctoral training in Cancer Biology at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.
