研究簡介
劉玟君博士實驗室(感染性疾病核心設施,Infectious Disease Core facility, ID CORE)致力於傳染病和疫苗學兩大研究領域,針對重要新興/再興傳染病執行病原監測分析、鑑定、開發相應之動物模式及檢測平台,以及研發廣效型流感疫苗、COVID-19新冠病毒疫苗等,同時探討其相關致病機轉或免疫保護相關性(immuno-bridging),相關成果亦發表於重要國際期刊(詳下列論文著作)。本核心設有BSL-2/ABSL-2及BSL-3/ABSL-3實驗室,著重於影響人類健康之重要傳染性疾病,包括季節性流感、禽流感、冠狀病毒(SARS-CoV-2)、季節性冠狀病毒、呼吸道融合病毒、腸病毒、登革熱以及其他常見人類傳染性疾病之研究。此外,本核心亦因應院內外學研機構及生技業者之需求,提供委託/合作研究及委託服務,內容包括合作研發、技術服務與BSL-2實驗室(含儀器設備)租用等。目前本核心已藉由現有開發技術平台及資源,協助數十個國內學研單位及廠商,執行病原培養、鑑定及疫苗/藥物效力評估(細胞及動物)等臨床前試驗,評估疫苗/藥物之保護效力以及研析其保護機轉。除一般小鼠動物模式外,我們亦積極開發、引進特殊小鼠品系以及建立倉鼠、雪貂動物模式,以縮短傳染病新藥、疫苗、保健食品以及其他傳染病防治相關產品之研發時程,並達到落實研究成果產品化、應用化之「化研為用」目標,期許能對人類健康做出實質貢獻,並促進國家生技產業之蓬勃發展。另外,當國內或國際出現疫情時,本核心亦積極參與國家疫病防疫體系,協助國家防疫,善盡社會責任。
